Terry Maddock Terry Maddock Chairman Tricked into paddling by Bill Stansbie back in 1988, I was later conned into being treasurer till they found out where the money was going when they demoted me to Chairman. Lethargy prevents me from resigning. I was happy as an L2 Coach but recently wandered by mistake onto a Trainee L3 Assessment. I get hijacked onto rivers up to Grade 3, the sea and occasional slaloms. I'd give it all up if it wasn't for the thrill of stripping off in public car parks. I'm 60 and still have all my own teeth. chairman@ribblecanoeclub.co.uk
Paul Binks Paul Binks Secretary Not sure how he managed to become secretary, but lots of people seemed to be happy that someone was doing it. Paul thinks about paddling more than he does it but is trying to redress the situation. secretary@ribblecanoeclub.co.uk

Albert Risely Albert Risely Quartermaster Have been paddling since 2003. I enjoy sea kayaking, touring lakes and estuaries, and moving water up to Grade 3. I also enjoy cycling, unicycling, folk music and fell walking. I am usually at the Hand & Dagger on Tuesdays.
Kath Risely Kath Risely Treasurer Paddling interests are touring, sea paddling & moving water up to grade 2/3. Usually at Hand & Dagger on Tuesdays.

Alison Nelson Alison Club Welfare Officer I joined the canoe club in 2006 with my husband David and two sons Joseph and Peter. I do occasionally paddle the flat safe stuff, however I prefer to watch the moving water paddling! I can usually be found walking along the side of the river with my dog Gem. welfare_officer@ribblecanoeclub.co.uk
Steve Swarbrick RCC Logo General Committee Awaiting Description
John Kington John Kington General Committee Former Treasurer, I've been paddling with Ribble for around 12 years. I'm happiest paddling grade 3 & 4 rivers, but also dabble with sea & flat water touring. If not in a boat I can often be found on a bike or up a hill - sometimes both together. Rachel Desmond-Drew Rachel General Committee Description: I've been paddling since 2007, when I joined Ribble Canoe Club, where I've had the opportunity to learn to paddle on moving water and at slalom.
Ed Lefley Ed General Committee I've been paddling on and off since 1991; although there was a 7 year sabbatical whilst I found a kayak that I fitted in! Having resumed paddling in 2002, I've worked and paddled on the Ardeche in France, in Shropshire, the Thames Valley and cold, wet South Wales. I've been paddling with Ribble since 2007 when I moved to the Fylde permanently for work. I can often be found in either of the fringe groups of the Club if there isn't any kayaking to be done; the Ribble Dirty Boaters (Open Canoes), or the Ribble Mountain Bikers
Andy Biggs Andy General Committee I’ve got a background in sailing, mountaineering, cycling and also go paddling. Will try anything once but have a passion for the sea and making overnight trips, especially along the west coast of Scotland.

Pat Green Pat Green Newsletter Editor Paddling since 1968 when we built two single wooden kayaks. As soon as our sons were old enough to sit in a kayak we bought two double touring kayaks. Regular paddlers of the club may recognise the paddler sat in the front of the kayak in my picture.
In 1980 we joined RCC and took up river paddling including slalom competition. We left in 1987 and took up other sports including golf, and only paddled occasionally. In 2003 we re-joined RCC and have taken up Sea & Lake paddling whilst continuing to enjoy river paddling.
